Yes, we love dogs at Chenies Manor House. We welcome well behaved dogs on leads to any open days.
Is there disabled access?
Yes, we have disabled access to the Gardens, Tea Room and Disabled Toilet. We also have disabled parking which will be shown to you on arrival.
Unfortunately as the house is over 500 years old, we are unable to provide disabled access within the house.
Are there any baby facilities?
Yes, we have a baby change available in the disabled toilet and also have some high chairs for use in the Tea Room and Gardens.
What days are you open?
Chenies Manor House is open for house and garden tours Mondays and Tuesdays 2pm – 5pm during open season. We have a select number of event days, which can be found on our events page.
The office is open Monday – Friday 10am – 2pm for any enquiries. Show rounds can be organised for weddings and events during evenings and weekends by pre booked appointment only.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is ample off-road parking available on site.
Can I charge my car?
Unfortunately due to the location of our parking, we don’t have the facilities to accommodate this.

Can I book a membership for 2 but bring a friend?
Our membership for 2 is open to any 2 guests, the membership is held by one guest so you are able to bring anyone to join you on your unlimited visits.
This offers the perfect opportunity to treat a friend or loved one to an afternoon at Chenies Manor.
Does Chenies Manor belong to any associations?
Yes, we are proudly a member of the Historic House Association.
If I hold a Chenies Manor or Historic House membership, do I need to prebook a ticket?
Yes, we require all house tours to be prebooked so we can allocate the correct staff. Garden entry only can be purchased on the gate.
Can I purchase a voucher as a gift?
Yes, we have a number of gift options available from 1 years membership to afternoon tea, these can be purchased via our vouchers page.
Why is entry to the house by timeslot?
We are lucky enough to have a host of knowledgeable and dedicated tour guides who volunteer with us.
For this reason the house tours fill on a first come first serve basis. You are welcome to arrive and enjoy the gardens from 2pm.
Do I need to pre book a ticket?
If you would like to enjoy the gardens and tea room, you do not have to pre book a ticket and can pay on arrival to the gate.
We would recommend pre booking tickets on event days, as these can be very popular.
For any house tours included during your visit, these must be prebooked online via the ticket page.
What is the last entry time to the gardens & house?
The last house tour is around 4:15pm, dependent on guide availability, although must be prebooked via the website.
The gardens and tea room are open until 5pm, so we encourage arrivals before 4.30pm.
Can we take a tour of the house?
Yes, our experienced and dedicated volunteer tour guides take a small group around the house every 15 minutes by prior booking online.

Can I take photos and videos during my visit?
We encourage all guests to take photos throughout the gardens but politely ask no photos to be taken inside the house.
Can I bring my own food?
We politely ask guests not to bring their own food with them, but our tea room is open during all visits with fresh tea and coffee and homemade cakes. We also have afternoon tea available via pre booking.
