What an excellent venue. Charles & Boo are truly delightful people and we appreciate them for letting us use their venue for our recent wedding. We had access to the long room for our reception, with a roaring fire this room offered a cosy vibe and the room speaks for itself! The evening reception was hosted in the garden room. We had free rein the day before to decorate as we pleased and what a luxury that is, we added bunting and fairy lights and a flower arch which added to the already perfect room. The room felt plenty big enough for our 62 guests. After the meal we had fire pits outside which kept everybody cosy. Overall we were so thrilled we chose Chenies Manor House as our wedding reception and we are so thankful to Charles, Boo and their incredible team. Special shoutout to the security team also who assisted us at the end of the evening. Best wishes, Harriet & Jono x

We chose Chenies for our August wedding not only because of how utterly gorgeous it is but because of our accommodating and helpful the staff (particularly Boo) were. On our initial tour of the house and gardens they answered all our questions and put us at complete ease. It was so beneficial having the days before and after to put everything out and tidy up at no extra charge. It was also so nice having the entire venue to ourselves for the whole day. On the day itself the staff were brilliant. Lucie in particular (the wedding coordinator) was extremely helpful - would very much recommend having her to help out! They had everything we needed, and we got so many positive comments from guests about the amazing setting. A truly magical place that we can't wait to revisit!

We got married at Chenies Manor House on 6th July 2025, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we first visited, I fell in love with the venue, particularly the stunning gardens and the peaceful atmosphere, and I knew this was where I wanted us to get married. The weather on the day was a bit unpredictable, and we weren’t sure if our ceremony would be indoors or outdoors (we were hoping for outdoors!). Boo and her amazing team made sure both spaces were set up so we could make a last-minute decision. Thanks to their thoughtful planning and flexibility, we were able to have the outdoor ceremony we’d dreamed of. From the very beginning, Boo was incredibly patient and kind, answering every question we had, whether it was through my countless emails, phonecalls or face to face meetings. Her support throughout the planning process made everything feel smooth and stress-free. The gardens at Chenies Manor House are absolutely breathtaking. They added such a magical touch to our day, and our guests were in awe. Many told us it was one of the most beautiful venue and ceremony they’d ever seen. We’re so grateful to Boo and the entire team at Chenies Manor House for helping us create such unforgettable memories. If you’re looking for a venue that’s absolutely breathtaking, with a team that truly cares, this is the place. Thank you so much and we hope to visit the gardens soon! Hina x

I often photograph weddings at Chenies Manor and I absolutely love it! It’s such a stunning venue. It’s great that you can get married inside, outside or in the church next door. The gardens are beautiful (particularly the dahlias) and there’s a perfectly situated field for sunset photos. Love it!

We held our wedding at Chenies Manor in August and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. From the very first visit, we felt welcomed and supported by the team, and our experience in the months leading up to the wedding only reinforced that. Boo and Paul were incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating throughout the planning process, always ready to answer questions, offer guidance, and make us feel at ease. Their warmth made a huge difference, especially with a toddler in tow, and helped us feel truly cared for as a couple. The venue itself is breathtaking – the historic charm, beautiful gardens, and thoughtfully curated interiors made every moment feel magical. On the wedding day, everything ran seamlessly, from the opening drinks reception to last orders at the bar, and it was a joy to see our friends and family so comfortable and happy in such a stunning setting. Chenies Manor is more than just a beautiful venue – it’s a team that genuinely cares and goes above and beyond to make your day special. We will always look back on our wedding there with enormous gratitude and fondness, and it will forever hold a place in our hearts.

Very pretty house and gardens (lovely looking Dalihias), very well maintained grounds despite how hot and dry it's been. A lot of people, but it didn't seem overcrowded (except the cafe where there were long cues but staff did their best to keep it moving). I think it may have just been for the Bank Holiday weekend, but they had a bunch of actors and musicians milling about with the visitors. They were in Tudor royal court (Henry VIII, etc) attire to add to the atmosphere, and we're happy to chat in character, play period music and arranged a dance in the gardens.

I love Chenies Manor House & gardens, it is well cared for and the gardens are stunning. The owner and his staff are all lovely, helpful and friendly. However there was a downside on our latest visit. I paid for 2 afternoon teas ( in advance as you have to) at £46 and when it arrived I was extremely disappointed and even asked if it was meant for 2 people. I got told yes. We had to share the platter, I have never had to share before. I had earl grey tea and was not even offered lemon or milk. Simply black tea. Food was dry and the cake was cut into tiny squares. There wasn't even £20 worth of food on our plates let alone £46!! Not value for money at all or even really edible . We left quite a bit of it. Totally spoilt our experience and it was for a birthday treat 😔 zero stars for afternoon tea

We got married here in the Summer and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting. It is stunning whether you opt for an indoor, outdoor or church ceremony. I also loved how we didn’t need to double use a room and allow for ‘turn over’ time as it made the day flow so well. The venue also has a considerable amount of extras that you need for the day that they’re able to supply which is a life saver! We also met our wedding planner through the venue, who was absolutely perfect and made the day run exceptionally smoothly, had plenty of vendors to offer and was on hand for any and all enquiries. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and we really couldn’t have asked for more.

Lots of special events. Would be worth a visit anytime. But it's used as a TV and film location so you might be able to save on travel and just watch horrible histories instead.

We hosted our wedding reception at Chenies Manor this July, and had the most wonderful day. The venue is stunning, and we had so many compliments from our guests about the lovely gardens. Boo, Michelle and the rest of the team were so helpful and accommodating in the run up to the big day. Thank you!

This place is open only on Mon and Tue, 2-5pm. House £12, only garden £7. For the house, it's recommended to book tickets online ,and if the same day you'd like to visit, they advise you to do so before 1 pm. To visit garden and lovely cafe you can also just drive and pay by the gate. There's big parking and separate for disabled people. Garden accessible with pushchair. Grass is amazing there so the little ones can run and crawl. Beautiful gardens. It's not too big place but very well maintained. Toilets clean. Nice things in the shop with reasonable prices.

Chenies Manor House was the venue for our wedding, and everything was absolutely incredible. The house is beautiful, and full of history, it is worth a visit just to see it and stroll around the gardens. Throughout the wedding process they were extremely helpful, allowing us to visit the house and meet with their team several times, helping us to make decisions that best suited our perfect day. Though we did not choose to use their wedding planner, she and the owners helped move things and set up on the day, and were amazing for anything we needed, including providing light for us to cross the dark village at night and helping us adapt when our ceremony was suddenly interrupted by rain! We had access to the manor all day, and the afternoon before and morning after which was really helpful for setting up and packing up. We also used some of the recommended suppliers that Chenies provides, who were also fantastic.

Stunningly beautiful historic english manor house, gardens are meticulously maintained, the owners are directly involved in the management and upkeep of the property which means that everything runs like clockwork. I would recommend sticking with their regular planners and supply chain for events.

We booked Chenies Manor for our wedding in April 2024. The gardens and house alone sold us on the venue. You can get ready in their beautiful house packed full of history and heritage, the outdoor wedding space is stunning (and if it rains, you're just back inside the beautiful house, so no loss!), the gardens have small nooks and crannies to explore (including a maze which the kids loved). Everything works, it is both beautiful and functional. The marquee has a solid wood floor, perfect for wheelchairs, and the Garden room served as our dance floor - and it all interconnects perfectly. This venue, and the owners Boo and Charles, oozes with class and we felt so lucky and special to have had our wedding there. Thank you Boo, Charles, and all your staff - to a man/woman, a class act. Chris and Alice.

We did a tour of the house and our guide was amazing, so full of knowledge, it was astounding how she remembered it all! The gardens are stunning and the perfect place for tea and a slice of delicious cake. Such a rich cultural experience but compact enough if you have mobility problems or don't want to be overstretched....the afternoon entry times are perfect and give you enough time.
