The Bedrooms

North Bedroom, or Red Room

This bedroom contains a four-post bed of unusually small size.

The room is hung with wallpaper designed by the daughter of William Morris.

The Blue Bedroom

The 18th century furniture of this room stands on a large antique oriental carpet of unusual quality.

The Pink Bedroom

Most of the furniture is Anglo-Indian.

Adjoining it is a small oratory and beneath the (reconstructed) floor of the latter, a large hiding place, conceivably intended to hide a priest with its own concealed ventilator.

The Green Bedroom

This contains an early Yorkshire Tester Bed (1660) and a Jaipur carpet.
